Community Roadwatch. Coulston Road.

Hi, 

On Monday 23rd June at 10.40am we conducted Community Roadwatch (CRW) on Coulston Road in Lancaster.

CRW is only conducted in 20mph zones as they are not enforceable by the way of fines like other speed limits. 

Drivers travelling at 25mph or more are sent an educational letter informing them of their error. 

We conduct CRW for 20 minutes as after this word gets round that we are there. 

During this time 140 vehicles passed us, of which 16 were exceeding 25mph. 

Our data will be passed onto the safer roads partnership who are responsible for making our roads safer.
